Magnolia Manor of Marion County Named Recipient of 2018 Excellence in Action Award

Magnolia Manor Corporate Office, Americus, GA, August 21, 2018 – The National Research Corporation (NRC Health) has named Magnolia Manor of Marion County as a recipient for the 2018 Excellence in Action award. To earn this honor, NRC post-acute clients must receive the highest overall satisfaction ratings from residents or employees. These scores are recorded in the NRC Health database which is the nation’s largest source of long-term care and senior-living satisfaction metrics.

To be considered for this award, skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living communities were required to conduct a customer or workforce satisfaction survey in 2017. Winners were selected based on a minimum requirement of 10 responses and rankings within the top 10% of positive responses. Respondents were asked to answer one of two questions: “What is your recommendation of this facility to others?” or “What is your recommendation of this facility as a place to work?” Magnolia Manor of Marion County skilled nursing facility exceeded the requirements for the customer award.

“We are extremely honored that our facility received this recognition. Resident and Family Satisfaction is at the top of our list of priorities. We work diligently to serve all through love and support, and hopefully these results are indicative that we are succeeding at this mission,” stated Angela Watkins, Administrator of Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

“At Magnolia Manor we strive for excellence through continuous quality improvement. Magnolia Manor of Marion County is our most recent recipient of an award. However, we have received recognition across all campuses,” stated Steve Vinson, Senior Vice President for Communications. “In the past year, Magnolia Manor has received three Achievement in Quality awards from the Georgia Health Care Association and the Georgia Center for Assisted Living, (GHCA/GCAL) as well as a High Quality of Care Award from the Medicare Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). At the federal level, we have also earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in quality measures for all five of our skilled nursing centers within the organization. We are proud of all of our campuses and look forward to even more improvement.”

Magnolia Manor is a faith-based ministry serving senior adults throughout South Georgia. Services at our eight locations are open to all persons, regardless of denominational affiliation. We provide various levels of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Catered Care, Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, and specialized Memory Care.
