Magnolia Manor Celebrates Successful 2026 John R. Batts Memorial Golf Classic

Magnolia Manor Home Office, Americus, GA, September 10, 2026 – Magnolia Manor proudly announces the success of the 2026 John R. Batts Memorial Golf Classic, held Thursday, September 10th, at Houston Lake Country Club in Perry, Georgia. Nearly 100 golfers and supporters gathered for a day of beautiful weather, friendly competition, and fellowship, all in support of Magnolia Manor’s benevolent fund, The League of the Good Samaritan.

The day began with registration and breakfast, followed by remarks from Magnolia Manor CEO Hill Fort and Mrs. Doris Batts, wife of the late John R. Batts. Participants then enjoyed a competitive round of golf before gathering for lunch, awards, and fellowship. The winning team in this year’s competition was Parker’s Heating & Air Conditioning!

Proceeds from the tournament benefit The League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor’s benevolent fund, which helps ensure that residents do not have to leave Magnolia Manor if, through no fault of their own, they are unable to fully pay for the cost of their care.

The success of this year’s tournament would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors, volunteers, and participants.
