It’s so hard to see your loved one like that. One minute she can be lucid and the next minute she is asking about a person who passed away many years ago. Once a diagnosis for dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease has been confirmed, your healthcare provider can help you determine what type of care would be best. If your loved one is still in relatively good physical health, you may be able to find an Assisted Living community that has Memory Care services, or a dedicated Memory Care Center.
Magnolia Manor is proud to provide residents with all stages of Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia with a secure, loving home. Incoming residents are evaluated so that their caretakers can address their individual needs. Our Memory Care staff provide dementia-specific programs including daily interaction and stimulation activities recommended by the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition, we offer families education, pastoral counseling, and support groups.
