Boy, Did We Have Fun During National Assisted Living Week

Macon NALW - 2022 Hawaiian Luau (2835) low rez

Let’s hear it for assisted living!

Assisted living communities all around the country have given a new lease on life to thousands (maybe millions) of mostly-independent seniors who simply need a little help with certain things. The chance to maintain maximum independence in a safe, secure, and uplifting setting is a game-changer for seniors who, in past generations, would have few options but a nursing home.

No wonder we celebrate National Assisted Living Week (NALW) each year!

National Assisted Living Week“Joyful Moments” – the Theme Said It All

NALW was created back in 1995 by the National Center for Assisted Living. The American Health Care Association now joins them in promoting the event and encouraging “residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding communities to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors.”

This year’s festivities stretched from September 11th to the 17th. And you can be sure our Magnolia Manor campuses were all partying on, each in their own unique ways. Here’s a recap of some of our activities.

Obviously, Assisted Living Is Not Boring!

At least, not when you live at Magnolia Manor. If this list of NALW celebratory activities makes you wish you’d been here, consider joining us next year. And if you’re considering a move to assisted living for yourself or a loved one, know that keeping busy with fun, educational, and uplifting activities is a daily exercise at Magnolia Manor.

You can come see that for yourself, too – schedule a personal tour and a chance to talk one-on-one about all the things that enrich our residents in mind, body, and spirit.
